PROJECTS

Project developer Heeren Group developed a new vibrant community named Turnova right in the city centre of Turnhout (BE).

IFTech provided the geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 1,000 tons CO2/year = equivalent of 200 family homes

  • Heating capacity: 2.1 MW

  • Cooling capacity: 2.35 MW

  • Number of wells: 6

Year: 2019

The city of Hasselt (BE) built a new city hall in 2018. The durability of this new building is very high, because the city holds this in great esteem. They even obtained the BREEAM excellent certificate for this project.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 120 tons CO2/year

  • Heating capacity: 650 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 600 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

Year: 2018

The Corda Campus in Hasselt (BE) is expanding fast. The new buildings, Corda 2 & 3 can house about twenty companies.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation.

Year: 2018

The “Onafhankelijke Ziekenfondsen” (independent social welfare organisation) built a new office in Anderlecht (BE). The building does not only have “Green areas”, with a vegetable patch and beehives amongst others, but it is also heated and cooled in an ecological way.

IFTech provided a closed looped system and a geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 15 tons CO2/year

  • Heating capacity: 100 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 150 kW

  • Number of drillings: 34

Year: 2016

Periskal, a comany that specializes in navigation software for shipping, built their new office at the new SME park in Wuustwezel (BE). The company freed a budget of 2 million euros for the project. IFTech met their need for an energy sufficient way of cooling and heating.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 15 tons

  • Heating capacity: 85 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 50 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

Year: 2016

The public centre for social welfare in Landen (BE) built a new residential care centre. To provide an optimal indoor climate without losing the sustainable character of the building, they chose a geothermal installation for heating and cooling the centre.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 70 tons

  • Heating capacity: 260 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 207 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

Year: 2015

In September 2014, DEME started the expansion of their head office in Zwijndrecht (BE).

The new office building can accomodate 250 higly specialized employees. DEME focussed on durability and therefore chose a geothermal installation for warming and cooling their building.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 30 tons CO2/year

  • Heating capacity: 230 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 250 kW

  • Number of wells: 4

Year: 2015

Our partner Van Roey had some high demands for its own new office building. These were all met since the new building is almost entirely energy neutral thanks to our installation.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation:

  • Realized savings: 20 tons CO2/year

  • Heating capacity: 100 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 160 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

  • Energy costs for heating and cooling: <€1/m² a year

Year: 2014

"WZC Hoevezavel" was built next to the existing care centre "Kapittelhof" of Lommel (BE). The building has 123 rooms. To make the indoor climate as comfortable as possible for all the residents, the client chose a geothermal installation.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation:

  • Realized savings: 60 tons CO2/year

  • Heating capacity: 200 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 250 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

Year: 2013

The existing ATES of ETAP in Malle (BE) was originally used in summer to cool the air. The heat generated from the ventilation was used to warm the building during the winter. The capacity of this installation was insufficient for the expansion of the office. IFTech expanded the installation with a heat pump that provides more heat in winter. The expansion also made it possible to reach a higher cooling capacity in summer.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation:

  • Realized savings: 60 tons CO2/year

  • Heating capacity: 400 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 420 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

Year: 2012

The public centre for social welfare in Hoogstraten (BE) built a new residential care centre. The building has 154 single rooms, 150 of which are for permanent residents. To make the indoor climate as optimal as possible, they opted for a geothermal installation.

IFTech provided the geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 190 tons CO2/year = equivalent of 40 family homes

  • Heating capacity: 214 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 525 kW

  • Number of wells: 2

Year: 2012

The almost energy neutral headquarters of AGC Glass Europe is the best example of the exceptional possibilities of glass and is a place where the comfort of all its employees is held in the highest esteem. Besides the glass, the orientation of the building, the geothermal installation and the placement of 900 solar pannels on the roof all contribute to making the electricity and the climate indoors as energy neutral as possible.

IFTech provided a closed looped system and a geothermal installation with:

  • Realized savings: 60 tons

  • Heating capacity: 137 kW

  • Cooling capacity: 70 kW
